The McMenamins are -
Fleur McMenamin (guitar and vocals)
Simon McMenamin (violin, mandolin, banjo, harmonies)
A brother and sister duo, delivering original acoustic music in an intimate, storytelling and often foot-stompin style. Drawing on alt country and folk influences, the sibling’s honeyed vocal harmonies and instrumental line-up allows them to create their own unique brand of alternative, rockin' country-folk which delights audiences time after time.
"Mesmerising" - Sydney Morning Herald
"A delightful brand of country-folk" - Drum Media
"Frontwoman Fleur has a faultless voice" - Rolling Stone Magazine
The McMenamins single 'what it takes' was nominated for a 2008 Q Song Award after winning the 2007 ABC Regional Q Song Award for their single 'How It Is' from their album 'In this light'.
