After spending the past few months supporting the likes of Missy Higgins, Lior, George Byrne, Jenny Morris, Abby Dobson, Nessa Morgan and Brooke Fraser; Sydney duo, The McMenamins are stepping it up to headline a one off evening at the Vanguard.
They would like you to join them so they can give you a taste of what to expect from their up coming self titled, debut album release, due out mid 2005.
The McMenamins are a brother sister duo from Sydney, who deliver original acoustic music in an intimate, storytelling and often foot-stompin style. The combination of guitar, violin, and the sibling's vocal harmonies allow the mixture of alternative musical styles to come out in the song writing as it takes you on journeys of love, joy, separation and obscurity.
The McMenamins’ own brand of alternative, country folk-rock incites an awesome audience reaction time after time. It is this reaction that has landed them airplay on JJJ and other community radio stations with their previously released 5 track EP, and performance slots at the Woodford Folk Festival.

Simon McMenamin on violin, mandolin, harmonies
