The McMenamin’s Hit The Road To Support Their Debut Album….
Bondi duo The McMenamins are excited to announce a string of support shows with Missy Higgins and Ben Lee to support the release of their debut self titled album, in store through MGM Distribution, September 5th.
This will be the McMenamins first run of national tour dates since they put the album to bed earlier this year. Recorded in three days and mastered in two The McMenamins, (hard to say but easy to listen to) is a unique blend of alternative folk-country that allows the siblings’ instrumentation and honeyed vocal harmonies to really compliment their storytelling and often foot-stompin style.
“This album was recorded in a week … it offers some nice grooves and melodies, and occasional eye brow raising lyrics … highlights are the toe-tapping Cherokee, Go It Alone and Wayside.” Sunday Telegraph.
“They delved through a range of different styles within the folk framework; fragments of blues, rock & jazz filtered through to create an unusual sort of unity…. At times… it seemed as if they were conversing. You somehow forgot people were playing pieces of wood, the music had taken on a life of its own.”
